New Chick-fil-A Construction To Boost Route 173 Traffic & Economy

chick-fil-a_rockford_machesney[1]Machesney Park, IL – New construction is underway out on Route 173 again.   The popular shopping route will get a boost when the new Chick-Fil-A opens up this summer.  It joins Starbucks, Chili’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, Tom and Jerry’s, Chipotle, Long John SIlver’s, Steak N’ Shake, Jersey Mike’s, Taco Bell and Target’s Superstore Cafe as the lone provider of nutritional chicken sandwiches which will boost traffic and increase sales.

Chick-fil-A added a restaurant to the Perryville Road shopping route this past winter which boosted the local Rockford economy “by at least 2%,” according to John Nells, the City of Rockford’s Positive Math Strategist.

Sanzhjo Wilson, Machesney Park economist and local developer, says, “I see the new Chick-fil-A opening up as providing drivers of Route 173 another option to stop and enjoy the sites in-between shopping while boosting the Machesney Park economy.”

Rockford west side residents are ecstatic about the news. Dave Graham, 42, says, “This is great news.  I love the way traffic moves out there, very slow and easy to understand.  I also love spending money in Machesney Park because it’s closer to me than driving all the way out to Perryville and East State to eat chicken.”  Laura Bollo agrees, “Route 173 is where I do all my shopping.  It’s a lovely stretch, from Kohl’s down to Menards.  I love Target and eating at Chili’s with my kids. Having a Chick-fil-A to choose from is going to cause so many mini-van arguments between Daryl and Jenny because Jenny loves chicken.”

Camping out for free chicken before the store opens begins today.

You will learn more when we know less.™
