2013 On The Waterfront Festival Promises 30th Anniversary Surprises – Pearl Jam, Boyz 2 Men, Foo Fighters, Cheap Trick and more!
Rockford, IL – Amateur sports and music fans from all over the United States of America will be gathering in downtown Rockford, IL, this Labor Day weekend for the 30th anniversary of the midwest’s largest street sports and music festival. Fried foods, corn on the cob, basketball tournaments and carnival rides along with $9.00 elephant ears will be available to enjoy during a full weekend of music, walking, sitting, drinking and vomiting. This year’s lineup is sure to thrill EVERYONE for the first time EVER because the region’s most neglected cultural media outlet, Sock Monkey Sound – a nationally respected podcast, was finally asked by it’s own community to save Rockford from it’s culture-less pride on the 30th anniversary of the event.
The lineup includes: The Cure, Depeche Mode, Thom Yorke’s Atoms For Peace, Kings of Leon, Muse, Phoenix, Wilco, Nickleback, The National, Queens of the Stone Age, Vampire Weekend, Pearl Jam, Arctic Monkeys, Kendrick Lamar, D’Angelo, Passion Pit, Franz Ferdinand, Tame Impala, Local Natives, Portugal. the Man, Creed, Neko Case, Grimes, Jimmy Eat World, Dawes, The Joy Formidable, Purity Ring, Enuff Z’ Nuff, Divine Fits, Toro Y Moi, The Shouting Matches, Haim, Smith Westerns, Motley Crüe, Savages, FIDLAR, Parquet Courts, Autre Ne Veut, Phosphorescent, Wild Belle, and Hundred Waters.
