Thren Ferndale
Thren Ferndale., 78 Rockford -passed away Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at his best friends moms brothers cousins home. Born July 2, 1934 , in Rockford, the loving son of Daline and Wendy (Andrews) Grolse. A graduate of Harlem High School, Thren had a love for karate, fantasy movies, listening to his music and spending time with his dogs. He was a former regional manager for Jensen Corp. and a parakeet trainer. Thren set a world record for speed walking in 1978, walking fast but not that fast. He loved this sport so much. Survivors include parents, Daline and Wendy Grolse; and Ozzy, his parakeet.
