Free Baptisms, Free Music, BYODC, Tonight!
BYODC: Bring your own dry clothes, 7pm tonight.
Rockford, IL – Tonight, at 7pm, at Heartland Community Church in Rockford, IL, there will be free baptisms, music and more. Coffee will have to be paid for, we think, we don’t know. According to a Facebook post by the popular Rockford area business, the event is open to the public, but that if you choose to be baptized, you should bring your own clothes. We think that’s a good idea since it’s kind of chilly outside. Go ahead and bring a beach towel. If you want to squeeze in a good cleansing while wet, please bring your own soap as well. Extra holy water will be available to rinse off life’s filthy spirits.
Here’s more information from the event’s facebook photo flyer:
The band is rehearsing for tonight! We’re going to sing, share communion and celebrate the baptism of dozens of Heartlanders who are going public with their faith. If you would like to be baptized, just show up with some dry clothes and let folks know you, too, have made the decision to follow Jesus.
It all starts at 7:00!!
We wish with all of God’s almighty superhero powers that we came up with this breaking news story, but we didn’t. If you want to follow Jesus, do it tonight and bring dry clothes, or else, continue to wander in the dark, alone, wet, cold, and hopeless.
Don’t worry, we are here for you. Contact us if you are lost and wandering without Jesus to lead you: [email protected]
