Strawberry Valley Boy Slams Dead Squirrel Against City Hall

Strawberry Valley Boy Slams Dead Squirrel Against City Hall

Strawberry Valley, IL – Police in Strawberry Valley says a child– who must have been angry about a dead squirrel left on a street– took a bloody rodent carcass to City Hall, and angrily slammed it against the building’s doors.

Strawberry Valley police say the unidentified child  left the squirrel’s body outside City Hall before riding his bike off into the sunset one morning, two weeks ago.

Witnesses have told the RKFD News that the animal might have been hit on a nearby street, and that the child might have been upset that no one from the city had come to collect it.

Police say the child faces a possible vandalism or caning charge. They also say his actions created a public health hazard.

Caning is still used in Strawberry Valley because of the  Michael P.Fay law passed in 1994.

They’re seeking the public’s help in identifying the child, and have released a description and surveillance photo of him.

If anyone sees a child riding his bike off into the sunset with or without rodent carcasses in tow, please email us:  [email protected]
