Rockford Cookout Fire Controlled, No One Robbed, Shot, or Stabbed Last Night

FireRockford, IL – Around 10:15 PM last night, several emergency personnel were responding to the 800 block of Otto RD in Machesney Park for what smelled like a smoky BBQ.  Initial RockfordScanner.com traffic said there was a big fire going on near this location that had gotten out of control and all the meat on the grill is burning but they are not sure because there are sounds of laughter and good times being had.

At the time of writing this, no injuries have been reported but the emergency personnel ate well and were treated to a few beers.

Update: The cookout fire reportedly started by two men enjoying a cook out with friends and neighbors. All the meat was cooked properly and enjoyed. The fire was put out once the meats had cooked.  Everyone including the dispatch team ate and slept wonderfully well in Rockford last night without getting robbed, shot, or stabbed.
