11 Year Old Pony Shot By RKFDP

Rockford, IL – An 11-year-old pony was shot Saturday night while galloping near the Fairgrounds Valley housing project.

RKFDP (Rockford Dream Police) officers said the pony was walking with other ponies playing pony games and telling pony stories in a field around the 1000 block of West Jefferson Street around 8:50 p.m. when they came across a cheetah and a polar bear arguing. The polar bear pulled a handgun and shot at the other, according to police.

More shots were fired as the cheetah, polar bear, and ponies ran for safety. The pony was hit by a bullet in his left leg. The injury is not life threatening, RKFDP said.

RKFDP officers–about eighteen of them we’re told–are investigating the shooting over eggs and bacon at the famous 24 hour diner on North Main Street.

Criminal acts are outnumbering job hirings on a daily basis in Winnebago County. Please email our RKFDP (Rockford Dream Police) Department immediately if you hear of a crime being commited in your neck of the forest city:  tips@rkfdnews.com
