Beaver Valley College Sues Student Over Snickers Bar

ROCKFORD — Toga Party week is months away, but Zach Bergman is gearing up  for what could be the toughest test of his manhood and dignity. Beaver Falls College is suing Bergman for damage to a vending machine .

 The Beaver Valley Swat Team arrested Bergman after they said he was caught on surveillance video stealing from a vending machine.

Bergman, faces charges of burglary, destroying property, possession of burglary tools and concealing stolen property.

According to the police report, on August 8th 2012 , surveillance video showed Bergman vandalizing a vending machine near the cafeteria.

Officers said Bergman used a survival tool containing a window punch to shatter the glass of the vending machine. Then, officers said Bergman grabbed 20 Snicker bars out of the machine and stuffed them into his pants and then started violently shoving candy bars and assorted items into his clothing shouting and clawing the sky screaming, “3 DOLLARS! 3 DOLLARS!”.

Swat Team Officers located Bergman sitting in the schools library area following the incident. Those officers handcuffed and sprayed heavy doses of mace into Bergman’s eyes until RKFD PD officers arrived. Police recovered the survival tool and fifteen Snickers Bars, five peanut butter M&Ms, five peanut M&Ms, three Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, two Twix bars, two Snickers, two packages of Baked Lay’s BBQ Chips, and one bag of Baked Doritos.

Bergman was taken into police custody and is being sued by Beaver Valley College for 2.3 Million Dollars for damage to the machine. “My parents are upset but are willing to hear my side of the story,” states Bergman.
