Plasma Center Saves North Towne Mall, Anchors West Side, Provides Jobs & Xmas Presents

Rockford, IL – Talecris Plasma is one of the most successful businesses on the west side of Rockford since the recession came and never left. It’s location at North Towne Mall has anchored a west side rebirth, and it has the community excited.

Weekly plasma donor, Timothy Wilums says, “Sometimes I get here a little late and have to wait a bit. No big deal. There’s a Subway next door and if I know it’s going to be awhile before I can throw my load, I hit McDonalds across the parking lot. Sometimes I make a day out of it and hit JD’s for a few wings and bloody marys.”

Talecriss’s corporate representative, Tracey Gretta, tells us, “Our plasma center at North Towne Mall in Rockford does very well. We consider it to be one of our flagship locations in America. The lines to get in and get a load out begin before 6am.  Most people like to sleep in.  Rockford has proven it wants to work at donating plasma and we couldn’t be happier.”

As a thank you to the city of Rockford, Talecriss is giving away 5,000 individual gallons of leftover plasma for Christmas to the community.

Gretta adds, “We were so excited to hear that Rockford was named “Jizz City, USA” by America a few weeks ago.  After all of the bad press, it was nice to see something good happen to our flagship location and we’d like to think we helped make it happen.  We’ve decided to give away a few thousand gallons of plasma as a Christmas thank you to Rockford.  You can stop by our North Towne Mall location anytime but there is one requirement, you have to be unemployed to receive your thank you gift.”
