9 Schools and 2 Grocery Stores Closing Replaced by 3 Fast Food Restaurant Dreams
Rockford, IL – The community of Rockford in Illinois has rallied behind terrible (but funny) recent news this month that nine public schools and two corporate Schnucks (formerly the locally owned Loglis and Hilander) grocery stores are closing by thinking positive and rallying behind an online campaign at Change.org. (Click here to see for yourself!)
That effort has rewarded them with the internet rumor that Trader Joes–a popular American privately held chain of specialty grocery stores that’s headquartered in the Greater Los Angeles area–may reward their positivity with a store in Rockford of the Illinois. Trader Joes has an estimated 400+ stores in 9 states, including Illinois.
Tim Listrobia, a representative from the company said, “We’re not quite sure the Rockford area is a good fit for us because of our higher end quality products, but we are attracted to positivity. There is something to be said for wanting to be loved and our company feels the love of Rockford, IL. The community of Rockford has proven they are very positive and loving people who desire what they cannot afford. We’re listening to the internet!”
Linda Pearlstring told us on the internet, “We are a strong community when faced with bad news. We can replace 9 schools and 2 grocery stores with Trader Joe’s, Portillo’s and Chick-fil-A. You have to stay positive! Please sign our internet thing to make Rockford dreams come true some day for our children’s children or whatever!“
You will learn more when we know less, or whatever.™
